North Wing
Brayne Court is a historic listed home in the beautiful Forest of Dean run by Jan Greenhalgh and her daughter Sophie. Accommodation is provided in the form of a a suite of rooms on the second floor of the house.
A sitting room, bedroom and bathroom.
Access to the suit is up 3 small flights of stairs. As with all historic properties its full of quirky twist and turns.
The entrance hall is a small area suitable for storing one or two mountain bikes. Up the first set of 5 steps brings you to the bathroom, which has underfloor heating, a bath with an over head shower, a sink and lighted mirror.
The second set of stairs brings you to your toilet, and the last flight to your gorgeous 4 poster bedroom. The bed room is spacious with a traditional Victorian dressing table and built in wardrobe, the four poster bed is a standard double in size. The main window is south facing and has spectacular views of the village all the way to the Cotswolds on a clear day.
From the bedroom you access your sitting room which is beautifully decorated in William Morris wall paper, to us it is affectionately known as "The Blue room". A fantastic room again with a south facing window, but also has a little gem known as an Oriel window which faces on to the Ruffit, a small road leading up to Cinderford.
The sitting room includes a TV, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, crockery and cutlery enabling guests to dine in their suite if they do not wish to take advantage of the fantastic local restaurants. There is a small sink in the living room for washing up. We also offer an open fire in the living room to enjoy which will be set on your arrival. Extra coal and kindling can be arranged.
There are a wide variety of attractions in the area and it is perfect for walking, cycling, canoeing or just relaxing and watching the world go by.
The North Wing boasts its own entrance and is completely private.
